/-----THIS PROJECT WAS HARD v.v-----\
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I swear I could destroy iMovie right now. Y U NO SAVE IN 1080P? WHYYYYYY?
Oh my god. This was way more pain than it should have been. I made it perfectly in about 2 hours. Then I exported it as a .mov and it was all good. Then I upload it and the sound is total shit. What?
So I mess with the .mov file and turns out that no matter what way I export it, be it plain audio or video, I had the same glitchy result. Every single time the video was exported the explosion sound effects became all glitchy. EVERY TIME. Record the audio from inside the computer? Nope, glitch. Export in a different format? Nope, glitch. Change the source file format for the sound clips? Nope, glitch. It doesn't even make sense. Obviously my computer can play and read that sound data since it did so for the .mov file... Why not for anything else? But, no matter what, trying to handle this audio from within my computer was not working.
I finally stuck my video camera next to the computer speakers, played the sound effects from the movie project, and recorded it. Then I took the audio out of that video, and slapped it back on the animation. Somehow that worked. Unfortunately, being recorded with a camera from the speakers, the quality isn't as good as it should be. There's also a tiny amount of pops and static but at that point I was too afraid to edit them out in fear of glitching. And, the sound effects I recorded weren't even entirely right because the video project decided to do weird things to the sounds. I just wish you guys could hear this from my computer, it sounds so much better v.v
Just, wow. Jeeze. God. Shit. Monkeys. Penis. Moar monkeys. Can't even <.< Why was this so hard x.x
/-----WHERE THE VIDEO CAME FROM-----\
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
*ahem* anyway… So first off I did NOT make this. Dear lord, no, I do not have that kind of talent. I added the sound effects, nothing else. The animation and song are not made by me. And, the sound effects, I didn't even make those either. They're creative commons Attribution-NonCommercial sound effects though... which basically means free to use. So I used them, for this video ^^
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/
Anyway, this song was made by Sound Holic for their Rockman Holic album. This song is a remix of the Megaman X5 music when X and Zero fight. In Japan, Megaman is called Rockman, hence the album name. The album has a bunch of Megaman remixes, and it was made to celebrate Megaman's 25th anniversary. This video here was a promotional clip for their album.
You can buy the album here: http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B009P0GWKS/
(Buy the album! That's commercial use right? No. This video makes no money for me or Sound Holic. In fact, you can watch the original sound effect-less video for free on their site. Now, if I had charged you to watch this, that'd be breaking the rules.) And their official website is here: http://www.rockmanholic.com

/-----THE SOUND EFFECTS THAT WERE USED-----\
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
And now for the real fun part. Crediting all the sound effects I used. I don't believe I have to do that but might as well share where I got the sounds from if anyone else wants to use them. There's a lot of them .-.
http://www.freesound.org/people/bubaproducer/sounds/151020/
This is the sound used for Zero's buster shots in the beginning.
http://www.freesound.org/people/Supraliminal/sounds/77172/
That was used when Zero's lasers hit the ground in the beginning as he shoots at X.
http://soundfxcenter.com/sound_effect/search.php?sfx=Mega+Man
I used the Megaman "beam" and "blast" sound effects. Those are the only sound effects in the video that are actually from a Megaman game. It's used when X charges and fires his buster near the beginning.
http://www.freesound.org/people/ryansnook/sounds/110113/
This is the sound when Zero intercepts X's buster shot and it splits apart and hits the ground.
http://www.freesound.org/people/ejfortin/sounds/49704/
This is used when Zero slashes at X and damages his buster. This one was edited quite a bit to make it sound more like an energy sword than a normal sword. Of course the audio dun goofed and now there's no sword sound effect at all. It's SUPPOSED to sound like a sword WITH an energy buzz noise, not just the buzz noise.
http://www.freesound.org/people/THE_bizniss/sounds/39577/
This is when Zero kicks X.
I can't for the life of me find the first sound effect I used when X gets the shit kicked out of him and is sliding across the ground :/
http://www.freesound.org/people/harpoyume/sounds/86026/
This is the second sound effect when X gets the shit kicked out of him, when he hits a wall. This sound was so hard to get it to stop glitching. And even now it isn't entirely right ;_;
http://soundbible.com/1141-Comet.html
This is used when X gets the Sound Holic armor.
http://www.freesound.org/people/harpoyume/sounds/86025/
It's called "explosion 1" but I used this effect for airy sounds. It's used when X is falling in the beginning and when the city turns into speakers. It ended up more loud than it's supposed to be.
http://soundbible.com/1770-Ray-Gun.html
This is used when X is firing his buster while wearing the Sound Holic armor.
http://www.freesound.org/people/Zangrutz/sounds/155235/
This is used for when X's shots hit the ground after getting the Sound Holic armor.
http://www.freesound.org/people/Superex1110/sounds/77535/
This is used when Zero is jumping into the air.
http://www.freesound.org/people/ejfortin/sounds/49678/
This is used when Zero's saber clashes against X's.
http://www.freesound.org/people/arnaljl/sounds/67878/
This is used when Zero and X are um… pushing against each other with sabers. Idk. How does Zero even stay in the air that long? ANYWAY, NEXT SOUND EFFECT...
http://www.freesound.org/people/NoiseCollector/sounds/24293/
This is also used in the, er, push against each other with sabers.
http://www.freesound.org/people/thatjeffcarter/sounds/128075/
Jet pack! This sound, along with the two ones before this, ended up drowning out the song a bit. Again, the perfect original .mov file doesn't have this problem v.v
http://www.freesound.org/people/Trinity101/sounds/70052/
This is used when Sigma arrives, as he's dropping out of the sky. It's an ambulance siren. I r so creative right? :3
http://www.freesound.org/people/fridobeck/sounds/191692/
This is when Zero is knocked back into the speakers, and also when Sigma arrives and hits the ground.
http://www.freesound.org/people/Zangrutz/sounds/155235/
This is used when Sigma arrives as well.
http://www.freesound.org/people/rjonesxlr8/sounds/202359/
This is when Sigma is standing there all evil-like with purple energy around him. I assume it's maverick energy because somehow having a virus makes robots glow. Fuck yea, video game logic! But… this turned out WAY too loud. I swear I would choke my software if it breathed -.-
http://www.freesound.org/people/ejfortin/sounds/49695/
Used at the very end when X slashes at Sigma. Also too loud. Way too loud. It's not supposed to be very noticeable. Blech x.x
/-----Conclusion-----\
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Phew, I think that's all of them .-. Let me know if I missed any sound effects. Also, some sound effects in the video may not sound exactly like the original one. That's because I edited a lot of them. Audacity was being a bitch so all the audio was edited using iMovie's sound filters. And it sounded perfect. And then I had issues, and iMovie fucked up what I edited. And then I recorded the fucked up sound effects. And now it sounds like crap. I… *sigh* v.v I swear, the original .mov. So perfect. So damn perfect. This beautiful animation deserves that, not this.
Also, this is my first attempt at adding sound effects to something. So if some sounds don't quite fit, that'd be why... I guess. And also because of the huge amounts of issues I had with making this .-.
